REB-DOVID FUND, INC.

"Charity respectfully collected - Funds carefully distributed - An organization you can trust"

The Reb-Dovid Fund was created more than 25 years ago to assist those in need, with small grants and/or interest-free loans. Many individuals residing on the Lower Eastside and in the surrounding communities are familiar with and have benefited from the Reb-Dovid Fund.

The Fund has functioned quietly, at times being able to assist many, while at other times being able to provide less assistance due to financial limitations. Every penny collected went to those in need. For every one request honored, two requests had to be denied due to a lack of funds.

Financial times are very challenging. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, donations have been on the decline while requests for financial assistance are unfortunately on the rise. The Fund is turning to past and present supporters, local businesses, organizations, and corporations in an effort to raise more funds and answer the many calls for help. Time is important.

The Fund’s current larger projects include arranging more affordable Jewish funerals, burial plots, and monuments as an alternative to cremation, as required by Jewish Tradition. An Orthodox Rabbi and Mohel is now available through the Fund to officiate at a Bris, marriage ceremony, etc. at a more affordable cost to those in need. A more recent project has been assisting with Hachnosas Kallah, collecting funds for the basic wedding necessities for needy couples.

Additional information regarding donations and the Fund are available upon request.

Since 2013, the Fund collected and disbursed more than 300,000 dollars.

We would like to thank you in advance for your time, consideration, and support.

Sincerely,

David Goldberg, President
